1. Mailbox
iOS, Android (free)
Supported platforms: Gmail, iCloud
What it does: Mailbox is premised on the idea of 'inbox zero'— that each email should be dealt with as soon as it is received. The app relies heavily on gestures to make the sorting process quick and easy— swipe across each message to delete, archive, or save for later. Auto-swipe, a recently introduced feature, streamlines that process even further by learning from your habits to predict what you want to do with individual messages.

What it's good at: Reducing inbox clutter by easily deferring emails for later. It syncs with Dropbox so it will back up your preferences, including auto-swipe patterns, across all your devices.
Where it falls short: Can't access or save new drafts. Doesn't support priority inbox. Selecting multiple messages at once is a bit awkward.
2. Acompli
iPhone (free)
Supported Platforms: Download free car manual. Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Google Apps, Gmail, iCloud, Outlook.com, Hotmail, MSN, Live.

3. Apple Mail
Supported platforms: iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Outlook.com, POP, IMAP
What it does: Apple's email app is the default app for iOS users so — barring a jailbreak — you're pretty much stuck with it if you want to share via email from other apps. The app handles all the basics: It supports multiple accounts, organizes incoming messages, and it even has a few gesture controls as of iOS 7, but expect little else.
What it gets right:The biggest benefit to being Apple's default app is speed. Inbox refreshes and push notifications are noticeably faster than pretty much every other app out there — which is probably why so many people still use it. Best time lapse app mac.
